Make Every Day World No Tobacco Day

Riley Cook and Rachel Sucher, members of Montpelier High School’s Substance Abuse Prevention group, pictured here promoting awareness on World No Tobacco Day.  At the May 31st event, students learned about the harmful impacts of tobacco products on the body and the consequences of nicotine use on the brain. Community members were also given the opportunity to share their concerns about flavored tobacco products and the lengths to which tobacco companies advertise to youth by participating in a postcard writing campaign sponsored by CounterBalance.
